The region of the Alpujarra is characterized by preserving in its villages the flavour of the past and their traditions: the architecture, the gastronomy, etc. It looks like the time has stopped for most of them.

You’ll find a good example of its traditional architecture in the Poquerira Ravine, and in its three villages: Pampaneira, Capileira and Bubión.

Lanjarón, village of healthy waters, amasses an important historical and cultural legacy. Trevelez is the highest village of the Iberian Peninsula and is also famous for its delicious hams.
